Read the midterm feedback. Write a 200-word reflection on:
1. what problems you encountered when writing
2. which aspect of writing do you most need to improve on (grammar, topic development, vocabulary)
3. which part of the feedback file do you find most useful?
A. I was pretty sick. Couldn’t really think under that circumstance . B. Lack of vocabulary causing me to rethink the essay into the wrong direction my thesis previously suggested. C. As for topic development, it was difficult when I was writing the pre-assessment, but for now, I don’t think that’s much of a problem for me. I was constantly murmuring to myself “Stop overthinking on vocabulary and grammar like you used to during the pre-assessment essay!” 2. Based on the problems mentioned above, for now, it’s necessary to improve my vocabulary outputs. I know there are some sentences that’s grammatically incorrect, but that’s not the biggest problem I encountered while writing the essay. 3. Grammar → Vocabulary → Topic For grammar, because I’ve already waived all the MCU English courses and my high school English teachers didn’t teach much grammar, so I didn’t have any chance to correct my grammar for the past 7 years. It’s nice to have a table for the grammar rules that I ignored in the essay. For vocabulary, it’s also nice to have a table of words that I could’ve used in my essay. The problem is to memorize and use it.
