Part 1 Discussion Response
I agree with Anna. It is essential for companies to train their ongoing employees. Hiring new employees are difficult and costly. First, you have to provide good opportunities to lure people for applying the job, especially when populations have received higher educations. If the job is hard and requires less skill level, less people will apply for the job. Second, in order to hire new employees that exceed the expectation of the company, the human resource department might have to work harder to post advertisement all over the internet. Sometime it’s not that effective and it’s expensive to do so.
Midterm Part 2-0 File Submission
According to the news, many companies nowadays are facing with the same issue: they couldn’t find young employees that satisfies the job requirements. Doing an unpaid work for a period would both stun the overall production rate of the nation and make young adults panic for their future.
The overall GDP of a place is linked to the employment rate. If some of the young adults were forced to do unpaid work helping the community, many jobs that favors young people will miss the opportunity. For instance, it is better for a gym to hire a strong and young adult that has extended stamina and developed muscles as its coach. By requiring young people to do unpaid work, companies that seek for young adults won’t be able to have the same value as before.
Many reliable articles have pointed out that during the era of new technologies, lots of people are worried about their future being replaced by machines. There are many companies lay off employees in favor of new tools, such as AI chatbots. AI chatbots don’t have to rest, and there are some huge databases in the background of it to provide knowledge. Humans, including young adults, must come up with innovative ideas to live with AI, and that often takes time. By forcing young adults to do some community stuff, the ratio of panic adults grows, and they won’t have that much time to think about collaborating with AI tools.
Overall, it’s best to not requiring young adults to help the community for a period, as it does more harm than good. Young adults benefit the GDP and require paid job in their golden time. If there exists fewer young adults for jobs, the some of the categories of the job might collapse and it might hinders the overall production value of the nation. Governments should reconsider reallocate the community jobs to the older adults that loss their job.

1. Topic development
整體主題還不錯,提到young adults 不一定要特別留一段時間去做志願性工作,而是可以用spare time來做,這點子相當創新也非常好。
第一段主旨也許可以稍微點出為什麼not necessary,比如說it wastes time之類的。 第二段「 Besides, when we gain our knowledge and are in a higher position, we can contribute more to the society.」可以舉一些contribute what?,像是當我創業之後,我可以專門有個部門回饋社會,專門製造給流浪漢麵包之類的。
2. Grammar
我幾乎找不到文法錯誤 最後一段:way important in those unpaid phases. 可以加上more (way more important)
3. Vocabulary
第二段rather than undertaking a period of unpaid work to help people in the community.
undertaking → committing
We can help and show our love to others all the time
all the time → at any time
Therefore, it is a disadvantage to ask youngsters to do it individually,
disadvantage → detrimental
4. Overall Structure
